５月２１日はちょっとお休み、遊びに行ってきました。

I had a day-off on May 21 and went sightseeing.


２１日は、浜田さん・ひらさん・タカタさんが帰国されました。
タカタさんは、朝早くの便でしたので、早くに帰国されました。

Hamada-san, Hira-san and Takata-san returned to Japan on 21st.
Takata-san flied early in the morning.

浜田さんとひらさんは、午後の便で帰られるということでしたので、
台北の伝統人形劇をやっている、小学校の見学に行かれました。

As Hamada-san and Hira-san will depart in the afternoon, they visited an elementary school where the Taipei’s traditional puppet play is performed.

座談会に来てくださっていた小学校の先生が、お声をかけてくださいました。
この伝統人形劇をやっているところは台湾でも少なく、３箇所くらいしかないそうです。

言葉は中国語ですが、写真がたくさんアップされていて、様子がとってもよくわかります。
貴重なイベントに参加されたようで、本当によかったです。

An elementary school teacher who came to the discussion meeting invited them.
There are few places to perform the traditional puppet play, just 3 places.

私と川浦さんは、別行動で野柳（やりゅう）と九イ分（きゅうふん）というところに行ってきました。

Both Kawaura-san and I went separate ways and we visited Yehliu and Jiufen.

野柳風景特定区（やりゅう-ふうけいとくていく）は台湾の風景特定区です。
台湾最北端近く、野柳岬の付け根にあります。
風化や海により浸食されてできた奇岩が並ぶところです。
観光客がたくさんいました。

Yehliu Geopark is a scenic natural area in Taiwan and it is located at Yehliu Cape on the north coast of Taiwan.  There were many strange rocks which were resistant to weathering and erosion by waves.
Many tourists were visiting there.

トルコのカッパドキアのようです・・。

It’s like Cappadocia in Turkey.

途中で、川浦さんはスケッチしたいということで、絵を描かれていました。
その間、私は一人で散策、山の上に行きました。
その山からの写真。
スケッチしている、川浦さんの姿も写っています。
わかるでしょうか・・？

Kawaura-san told me that she wanted to sketch.
When she was sketching, I went around by myself and I went to the top of the mountain.
It was a photo from there.
Can you find Kawaura-san who is sketching?

野柳に２時間半くらいいて、その後は九イ分へ向かいました。
九分は、台湾の映画「悲情城市」の舞台となったところです。
日本でも、「千と千尋の神隠し」の舞台にもなりました。
ノスタルジックな風景が広がっています。

We spent 2.5 hours in Yehliu and moved to Jiufen.
Jiufen was well known as the setting for the Taiwanese cinema, “A City of Sadness”.
Also, it was known as the setting for the Japanese cinema, “Spirited Away”.
It was nostalgic scenery.

九分は階段をたくさん上ります。

There were many stairways in Jiufen.
I took Kawaura-san’s photo.

レトロな感じのお茶屋さんに入りました。

We went to a retro-looking cafe.

よい眺めです。

What a great view!

おいしい烏龍茶をいただきました。お茶の入れ方を教わります。

We had delicious oolong tea.  We learned the way of making tea.

おいしいお茶をいただき、お店を出て歩いていたら、
ザルに入った猫に会いました。これが好きだそうです。

After enjoying delicious tea, we met a cat in a bamboo basket.
We heard that the cat loves it.

九分を午後４時に出て、その後、シマリス絵本館の林さんと合流、
台北市内でマッサージを受けにいきました。
約２時間、全身マッサージ・・体がフニャフニャになりました。
お食事をして、ホテルに戻りました。

浜田さん、ひらさん、タカタさん、台湾まで来てくださり、
本当にありがとうございました。
私自身、台湾でみなさんとご一緒できたこと、
一生の大切な思い出になりました。
宝物です。

We left Jiufen at 4pm and joined Hayashi-san of Chipmunk’s Book Store.
We went to see a masseur in Taipei.
I got two-hour massage … my body relaxing so much.
Then we went to dinner and returned to the hotel.

Hamada-san, Hira-san and Takata-san, thank you very much for travelling to Taiwan.
It was a precious lifetime memory for me to meet and work with them in Taiwan.
It’s my treasure.
