命展の複製画展示会場

The site of the exhibition of reproduction printings of paintings 
in the exhibition “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake”

戦争証跡博物館の２Ｆにある“White Dove ”という部屋で
命展の複製画が展示されています。
展示期間は今年1月8日から始まり、12月25日までです。
現在は24枚中、12枚が展示されており、あと12枚は後日展示替えを
するそうです。
初めから24枚を展示しなかった理由は、何回も観に来てほしいため。
ずっと同じ絵を展示するより、2回に分けて展示したほうが、また観に
来てくれるはずだからとの事でした。
考えてくださっていて、嬉しかったです。

The exhibition of reproduction printings was held at “White Dove” 
on 2F of War Remnant Museum.

It started on January 8 and will close on December 25, 2015.

12 paintings out of 24 were displayed and remaining 12 paintings 
will be displayed later.

The reason to display all paintings at a time was to visit to see 
paintings repeatedly.

People will repeatedly visit there when paintings were displayed 
in 2 times.

展示会場の“White Dove ”です。
子どもたちが学び、遊ぶ部屋です。

The room “White Dove” was for children to study and play.

動物のぬいぐるみたちがいる上に、命展の絵が展示してありました。

Paintings of the exhibition was displayed over the stuffed animals.

文章は、英語とベトナム語です。

Captions were written in both English and Vietnamese.

ひろかわさえこさんが描かれた、命展２の絵です。

子どもたちも観ていました。
ベトナムでは、多くの家で犬や猫、うさぎやインコを家族に
迎え暮らしているそうです。
日本よりも多いかもしれません。
ここにきた子どもたちのほとんどが、動物と一緒に暮らしていました。

Children were seeing them.

I heard that many Vietnamese families had dogs, cats, rabbits, and parrots 
as their family members.

The number of those families might be larger than Japan.

Most children came here were living with animals.

ひろかわさんが被っているのは、ベトナム戦争時、子どもたちが
銃弾から頭を守るために被っていた帽子です。
日本の防空頭巾のよなものです。
この帽子は稲からできているそうで、当時、子どもたちが自分で
作ったそう。結構重くてしっかりしていました。

The hat which Hirokawa-san was wearing was to protect children’s heads 
from bullet during Vietnam War.

It was like an air-raid hood in Japan.

The had was made with paddy and children made them by themselves.

It was heavy and secure.

室内には、世界の衣装が用意されています。
日本の着物？のようなものもありました。
金髪のかつらもありました。

In the room, there were many clothes from the world.

I saw a dress like kimono in Japan.

There was a blond wig.

この日、ひろかわさんは紙芝居と絵本を子どもたちに読んであげました。
通訳をしてくれたのは、ジンさんです。
ジンさんは、ホーチミンに住んでいる方です。
先日開催した仙台会場での命展３開催中、不思議なご縁でジンさんと
つながりました。それで今回一日だけ通訳をしていただきました。

At that day, Hirokawa-san performed a picture-card show and read a picture 
book for children.

Ms. Zinn translated into Vietnamese.

She is living in Ho Chi Minh City.

I had a wonderful connection with her during the exhibition Part 3 in Sendai.

So, I asked her to help us as an interpreter for today.

始めに、紙芝居『ごろん』。
作・絵、ひろかわさんです。

At the beginning, the picture-card show “Goron (rolling over)” was performed.  
Both story and pictures were created by Hirokawa-san.

子どもが一人立ち上がって紙芝居を見に来ました。

One child stood up and came to see pictures.

次は指遊びの絵本『おやゆびさん』です。
ひろかわさんは絵を描かれています。
作は、風木一人さん。

Next, Hirokawa-san read the picture book “Oyayubi-san (Mr. Thumb)”.  
She drew pictures for it.  The story was written by Mr. Kazuhito Kazeki.

子どもたちは、ひろかわさんと一緒に指を動かして、楽しそうでした。

Children moved their fingers with Hirokawa-san and looked happy.

ホーチミンのテレビ局が取材に来ました。
ＨＴＶ９というテレビ局です。

A TV station in Ho Chi Minh came to interview us.

It was HTV9.

ベトナムも災害時の避難所では、ペットのことは全く考えられて
いないそうです。
今回、災害時のペットについて考える内容の取材は、ベトナム初
だそうです。
この取材、放送で、ベトナムでの避難所の形が少しでも変わって
くれたらいいな・・と心から思いました。

Animals at the time of evacuation are not considered at all in Vietnam, too.

It is the first time in Vietnam to broadcast animals at the time of disaster.

I really hope that the situation of evacuation center in Vietnam will change

by this interview / program even if only slightly.
