大きなタペストリーいただきました！

「震災で消えた小さな命展」パート１のマルちゃんの飼い主さんから、
素敵な贈りものが届きました。
『同じ星空を見た夜』の絵の大きなタペストリーです。

このタペストリー、よ～～く見てください。
背景の色、動物たち・・これ一針一針、刺繍でできているのです。
天の川はビーズです。
きっと、気の遠くなるような作業でしたでしょう・・。
もう・・あまりにすごくて感動しています。
中にお手紙が入っていました。

「あの夜に見上げた煌々と輝く満天の星をどう表現したら良いのかと
悩みましたが、途中から　一つ一つビーズを通すたびに　
亡くなったたくさんの命に思えて　せつない気持ちになりました。
少し優しい夜空になったと思います」

一生、大切にします。

The final day to pick up paintings displayed at the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake



７月１５日、宮城県の方にも・・ということで、宮城県石巻市ナリサワギャラリーまで、
絵になった子たちをお迎えに来ていただきました。
お迎えの時間は、１１：００～１８：００まで。
岩手のお友達とお別れをした、宮城の子達が、飼い主さんが来るのを待っていました。

As I wanted to provide a chance to pick up paintings for those living in Miyagi, I asked pet owners to come to pick up them at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture from 11:00 to 18:00 on July 15.
Pets who were living in Miyagi said good-bye to friends in Iwate and waited for their owners.


この日も、最後までお見送りしようと、たくさんのボランティアさんが
石巻まで駆けつけてくださいました。
そして、参加作家さんの、おおやぎえいこさんも、はるばる茨城から
きて下さいました。

Many volunteers gathered in Ishinomaki to see off them.
Ms. Eiko Oyagi, participating artist, also traveled all the way from Ibaraki.

多賀城でお世話になりました、ピアニストの菅原さん、
参加作家さんの、おおやぎえいこさん、
多賀城でお世話になり、台湾まで来てくださった、森田さん、

飼い主さんのお迎えは、１１：００前からたくさんお迎えにいらしてくださいました。
朝一番から、たくさんの方がいらしてくださったこと、
とても嬉しかったです。
みなさん、本当に、本当に泣いていても、とっても笑顔でした。
大槌と同様、「お迎えにきました」とみなさん、そうおっしゃいました。
大切に、飼い主さんに抱っこされ、一匹、また一匹と帰っていきました。
私たちは、飼い主さんが見えなくなるまで、見送りしました。

Many pet owners came to pick up before 11:00.
I was very happy that many of them came there since morning.
Pet owners were smiling even they were crying.
As same as the ceremony in Otsuchi Town, everyone said “I came here to pick up”.
One by one pets were carefully hugged by owners and returned home.
We saw off until we could not see them.

１８：００、最後の飼い主さんがいらっしゃり、無事、
「震災で消えた小さな命展」が終わりました・・・。

At 18:00, the last owner left and the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake successfully closed.

開催して、本当によかったと思いました。
この日も、家族が全員そろって、みんなが笑顔になった日でしたでしょう・・。
それが、何より嬉しかったです。

I was really glad to hold the exhibition.
The whole family got together today and all of them smiled.
I was very happy to think about it.

飼い主さんと亡くなった動物たちの最後の笑顔のために、
私はまた、次の「震災で消えた小さな命展２」に進みます。

I will take next step, the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake 2, for the last smiles of pet owners and lost pets.

「震災で消えた小さな命展２」は、来月末から巡回展が始まります。
もうすぐです。

The exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake 2 will be held from the end of next month.
It will come soon.

この日のために、ギャラリーを貸してくださった、石巻ナリサワさん、
本当にありがとうございました。

Thank you for Nariwasa Gallery in Ishinomaki for providing the site for today’s ceremony.

そして、今まで、各地でご協力くださった、たくさんのみなさま、

亡くした子を絵に描いて欲しいという、お申し込みがなくなる日まで・・。

I want to continue to hold the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake in the future until I have no request to draw painting for lost pets.

July 8, 2012:  Closing of the additional exhibition in Otsuchi Town


いよいよ、最終日となりました。
朝からこの日は、複雑な思いを抱きながら、
会場に向かいました。

今日は、いよいよ、絵になった子を飼い主さんに
お迎えに来てもらう日です。

It was the last day of the exhibition.
I went to the site in the morning with mixed feelings.

Today was the day that pets in paintings were picked up by their owners.


まずはじめに、やっとみなさんの写真が撮れました。
左から、ひらてるこさん、川浦良枝さん、うさ、タカタカヲリさんです。

First of all, I could finally take a photo of artists.

この日は９：３０から、川浦さんがラジオ生出演しました。
マストの２階には「さいがいＦＭ」があるのです。

Today, Kawaura-san appeared on a live radio program from 9:30AM. 
Emergency FM Radio station was located on the 2nd floor of MAST.

最終日は、たくさんの方が観にいらしてくださいました。
見にいらした方の中には、同じように震災でペットを亡くされたかたも
いらっしゃいました。
その方々からもパート２のお申し込みがあり、もちろん、お受けしました。

１６：００になり、いよいよお迎えの時間になりました。
搬出作業をしながらになりましたので、少しバタバタしてはいましたが、
ボランティアさんたちが、片付け作業を進めてくださったおかげで、
心を込めて、飼い主さんにお渡しすることができました。

飼い主さんたちはみなさん「○○を迎えにきました」そうおっしゃられました。
絵ではないのです。
飼い主さんに、「長い間、お待たせしてしまいすみませんでした」
そう言うと、みなさん笑顔で、
「私たちが行ったことのない場所・海外まで、お友達と一緒にまわっていたこと、
それを考えるととても、毎日が楽しみでした」
そう、言われていました。
「おかえり」
そう言って、大好きな飼い主さんに抱っこされて、みんなお家に
帰っていきました。

この日は、みなさん、笑顔の日だったことでしょう。
それが、何よりうれしかったです。

So many people visited on the last day.
There were visitors who also lost their pets by the disaster.
They asked for draw paintings for the exhibition 2 and of course I accepted.

At 16:00, it was a time to hand over paintings to pet owners.
As the ceremony was held during carry-out, we were bustled a bit.  However, we could hand over paintings to pet owners wholeheartedly by the kind support of volunteers to carry out.

All pet owners said “I came here to pick xxx (name of pet) up”.
It was not a painting.
I told them that I was sorry to have kept them waiting for a long time.
They answered with smile, “Every day, I enjoyed thinking that my pet was travelling to many places even foreign country where we have not been there with many friends.”
They said “welcome back” and hugged their pets.  Pets returned to home with beloved owners.

I assume it was a day of the smile today. 
I was very happy to think about it.

７月７日 大槌マスト追加展 ２日目！

July 7, 2012:  The 2nd day of the additional exhibition in Otsuchi Town


追加展２日目は、７月７日、七夕です。
この日は、川浦良枝さん、タカタカヲリさん、がいらしてくださいました！
・・しかし、写真をこの日も撮り忘れてしまいました。
すみません・・ひらさん、川浦さん、タカタさん・・。
七夕ということで、川浦さん、タカタさんが、大槌にいらっしゃいる途中
新幹線の中で、笹に飾る短冊を作ってきてくださいました。
会場では、ひらさんが子供たちと一緒に、飾りを作ってくださっていました。


It was the 2nd day on July 7 and it was the day of Star Festival.
Ms. Yoshie Kawaura and Ms. Kaori Takata traveled to visit us.
Again, I forgot to take photos.
I’m sorry, Hira-san, Kawaura-san, and Takata-san.
As it was the day of Star Festival, both Kawaura-san and Takata-san made decorations for Star Festival on the way to travel by Shinkansen.
At the site of exhibition, Hira-san made decorations with children.

July 6, 2012:  Opening of the additional exhibition in Otsuchi Town


ブログの更新が遅くなってしまいました。
いつも見てくださっているみなさん、すみません。

大槌町マストでの追加展、初日の様子です。
初日、参加作家さんのひらてるこさんが、会場にいらしてくださいました。
ひらさん、遠いところありがとうございました。
・・が、ひらさんの写真を撮り忘れました。すみません、ひらさん・・。

「小さな命展１」最後の展覧会場です。

 I’m sorry for the delay in updating my blog.

It was the opening day of the additional exhibition at MAST in Otsuchi Town.
Ms. Teruko Hira, participating artist, visited me.
Hira-san, thank you for coming all the way down from your place.
But … I forgot to take Hira-san’s photo.  I’m sorry, Hira-san …

Here is the site of exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake 1.

初日から、たくさんの人が来てくださいました。
小さな命展のポスターを見たという方、
買い物にきて開催を知った方、
岩手沿岸のお申し込みいただいた飼い主さん、
盛岡展のときにいらしてくれた方もまた観に来てくださいました。
そして、「小さな命展２」にお申し込みいただいた飼い主さんも、
何人かいらしてくださいました。
なんだか、最後の展覧会は、終わりであり、始まりである・・
そんなことを感じる空間でした。

Many people visited there from the first day including people who saw the poster of the exhibition and/or recognized the exhibition when they came MAST for shopping.  Pet owners who came from coast side of Iwate and asked for drawing their lost pets and visitors of the exhibition in Morioka also visited us.
Some of pet owners who asked for drawing their lost pets for the exhibition 2 visited us, too.
I felt that the last exhibition was the end but also the beginning.

７月５日 岩手県大槌町特別追加展搬入

July 5, 2012:  Installation of the additional exhibition in Otsuchi Town


昨日（7/5）は、最後の展示会場、
岩手県大槌町シーサイドタウン マストで、搬入でした。

この追加展は、被災者の方々のご希望により、
実現できた展覧会です。

搬入のお手伝いにも、たくさんの方がいらして下さいました。

Installation for the final exhibition was held at Seaside Town MAST in Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture yesterday, July 5.

Its additional exhibition could be held by wishes of victims.

Many people came to help me for installation.

午後４時から、ラジオさいがいFMにも生出演し、
「震災で消えた小さな命展」についていろいろお話してきました。

I appeared on a live radio program of Emergency FM Radio at 4PM and talked about the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake a lot.

今日（7/6）は初日です。
たくさんの方に、見に来ていただきたいです。

Today, July 6 is the opening day.
I hope many people will visit to see paintings.

６月１３日 展覧会２日目

June 13, 2012:  The 2nd Day in Ponte de Sogno, Art Museum in Small Station


６月１３日、２日目です。
私は午後１２：３０まで会場に、その後東京に帰ります。

It was the 2nd day on June 13.
I had to leave the site at 12:30PM to return to Tokyo.

会場に行くと、参加作家さんの絵本が増えていました。

When I visited the site, there were more picture books of participating artists.

ひろかわさえこさんが、来てくださいました。
ひろかわさんは、石巻のときも来てくださいました。
ここでもお会いできて、とてもうれしかったです。

Ms. Saeko Hirokawa visited me.
She visited the exhibition in Ishinomaki, too.
I was very happy to meet her again in Wakayama.

青石さんと杉本さんにお礼と最後のご挨拶をし、
１２：５５分、藤並駅から電車に乗りました。
青石さん、杉本さん、本当にお世話になりました。
ありがとうございました。

I said good-bye to Aoishi-san and Sugimoto-san and took a train from Fujinami Station at 12:55PM.

和歌山駅で、おにぎりをひとつ、買いました。
そしたら、おばちゃんが、カントリーマームをひとつ、
くれました。
ちょっと、うれしかったです。

関西空港に到着しました。
行きと同じ、ＡＮＡの飛行機のはずが・・・

黒い飛行機でした。
やっぱり、悪そうに見えます。

６月１２日 ちいさな駅美術館初日

June 12, 2012:  Opening in Ponte de Sogno, Art Museum in Small Station


６月１２日、初日の様子です。
ＪＲ藤並駅改札を出て、右に行くと「ちいさな駅美術館」があります。

It was the first day on June 12.
After walking out the ticket gate of JR Fujinami Station and turning right, Ponte del Sogno, Art Museum in Small Station is appeared.

朝からたくさんのお客さんが来てくださいました。

There were many visitors early in the morning.

こちらは、第２会場です。
ちいさな駅美術館より、徒歩約３０分くらいのところに、
「有田川町地域交流センター」があります。
その中に会場はあります。
こちらは、海外作家さんの絵が展示されています。

It was the 2nd site.
Aridagawa Community Activity Center was located 30 minutes walk from Ponte del Sogno and the 2nd site was located in it.
Paintings by foreign artists were displayed there.

同じ部屋に、震災の写真が流れています。

Photos of earthquake were also displayed in the same space.

午後、３：３０くらいから、ちいさな駅美術館の方で
役所の方々が生徒さんたちを連れてきてくれるため
絵や主旨のの説明をすることになっています。
その前に時間があったので、杉本さん、青石さんが
温泉に連れていてくださいました。

 Officers of city government will bring students to Ponte del Sogno at 3:30PM and I will explain about paintings and purpose of the exhibition.
As I had free time before that, both Sugimoto-san and Aoishi-san took me to the hot spring.

肌がつるつるになる、お湯でした。
露天風呂がとても広くて、目の前に山がそびえていました。
山からは雲がいくつも生まれていました。

The hot spring water made my skin feeling silky smooth.
There was a large open-air spa and I saw mountains right in front.
Many clouds began to form at the top of mountains.

温泉から戻り、絵の説明会がありました。（写真はありません）
役所の方々が、小学校の生徒さん先生などを
連れてきて下さいました。
５回、入れ替えがあり、いろいろお話しをしました。
子供たちも絵をよく見ていました。そして、質問もたくさんありました。

After we returned from hot spring, I had an explanatory meeting for paintings　(no photos).
The officers of city government brought elementary school students and teachers.
We had 5 meetings and talked a lot.
Students carefully saw paintings and raised many questions.


その後、有田川町のあじさいの名所に連れて行ってくださいました。
いつもならば、満開の時期ですが、今年は寒いせいか、
まだ、少し早いようでした。でも、きれいでした。
この日は雨でした。あじさいは、雨の日のほうがきれいです。

Then, I was taken to the famous spot for hydrangea in Aridagawa Town.
It should be full-bloom but it was a little early due to the cool temperature. 
However, it was beautiful.
It was raining.  Hydrangea suits rainy day.

６月１１日 搬入

June 11, 2012:  Installation


朝、１０：００から搬入がはじまりました。
「ちいさな駅美術館」はJR藤並駅の２階にあります。
有田川町教育委員会の杉本さん、青石さん、私の３人で展示しました。

Installation started at 10AM.
Ponte del Sogno, Art Museum in Small Station, was located on the 2nd Floor of JR Fujinami Station.
Sugimoto-san and Aoishi-san both from School Board of Aridagawa Town and I worked on installation.

ギャラリーの周りは図書館になっています。
「震災で消えたちいさな命展」に参加されている
作家さんの絵本がたくさん並べてありました。
とってもかわいい、木の香りがするギャラリーです。

There was a library around the gallery.
Many picture books painted by artists who were participating in the exhibition of Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake were displayed.
It was a pretty gallery with smell of wood.

展示終了！
ここは第一会場です。
少し離れたところに、第２会場があります。
第一会場には、震災で亡くなった動物たちの絵が、
第二会場には、海外の作家さんに描いていただいた、
「みんな同じ大切な命」の絵が展示されています。

Installation was completed.
Here was the 1st site.
The 2nd site was located in a short distance away.
The paintings of pets who passed away in the earthquake were displayed at the 1st site.
The paintings representing “Precious lives are all equal” drawn by foreign artists were displayed at the 2nd site.

左が青石さん、右が杉本さん。
絵本に対する思い、子供たちに対する熱い思いのある、
本当に本当に、良い方です。
私はこのお二人にお会いできて、本当によかったです。

They were very, very nice persons who were passionate about picture books and children.
I was so happy to meet them.

展示終了し、その後、青石さんと杉本さんに
有田川町の観光に連れて行ってもらいました。

After installation, both Aoishi-san and Sugimoto-san took me to sightseeing in Aridagawa Town.


ここは、「あらぎ島」と呼ばれているとても美しい棚田です。
日本の棚田100選にも選ばれました。
手前に咲いていたアジサイもきれいでした。

It was very beautiful terraced rice paddies called Aragijima.
It was selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice paddies.
Blooming hydrangea in the foreground was also beautiful.

あたりは見渡す限り、山です。山のエネルギーを感じます。

There were mountains as far as I could see.
I felt energy from mountains.

ここは、茅葺き屋根の古いお家です。
ここで宿泊もできるそです。
中に入れていただきましたが、とても広いです。
泊まってみたくなりました。

It was an old house with steep raftered roofs.
I heard we were able to stay over there.
I wanted to do so.

かわいい花が咲いていました。

Pretty flowers were blooming.

有田川。

Arida River

有田川に真っ赤な長いつり橋がかかっていました。

There was a red suspension bridge across Arida River.

楽しそうだったので渡ってみることにしました。
橋の底は、下が丸見えです。
高所恐怖症の人は、無理かもしれません。

As it looked like fun, I tried to cross the bridge.
The floorboard was see-through.
I thought people who have acrophobia could not cross it.

次につれていっていただいたのは、宝くじが当たるという神社です。
「宝来宝来神社」と書いて「ホギホギ神社」といいます。

Then, they took me to a shrine where gives worshipers luck of lottery.
The name of shrine was Hogi Hogi Shrine.

奥にある、この石に触ってお願いすると宝くじが当たります。
両手を石に当て、心の中で3回「ホギホギホギ」と唱えるそうです。

People will win a lottery by touching the stone located behind and wishing.
People need to touch the stone by both hands and chant “Hogi Hogi Hogi” 3 times in your heart 

こんな祈祷の仕方がありました。右に「ホギホギ」左に「ホギホギ」・・・。

There was an instruction to chant.
“Hogi Hogi” to the right, and “Hogi Hogi” to the left …

その後、近くにあった「おみくじ」を引いてみることにしました。
（写真撮り忘れました・・）
100円を入れると、赤い箱の中から、自然におみくじが
1枚出てくるしくみになっています・・・が・・・・出てこない！！！
この時点で、金運なし！！と言われているようなもの・・。
その時に杉本さんがおみくじの入った赤い箱を揺さぶりました。
そしたら、1枚ポロリ・・。
・・とりあえずよかったです。中吉でしたが、書いてある内容はとても
うれしい内容でした。よかったです・・。
知っていますか？良い結果のおみくじは、持ち帰ったほうがいいそうです。
悪い結果がでたときは、神社におみくじを結んでいくそうです。
今回のおみくじは、ちゃんと持ち帰りました。

After that, I drew sacred lots.
(I forgot to take a photo.)
When I put in 100 Yen, a piece of per for sacred lots supposed to be come out from a red box, however, it didn’t!
At the time, it seemed I was not lucky with money.
Sugimoto-san shook the red box which were sacred lots inside.
Then a piece of paper came out …
Anyway, it was ok.  Although it was “average good-luck”, the detail written on the paper was very good.
Do you know the good-luck sacred lots shall be brought back home.
When you get the bad-luck one, the paper shall be tied to a tree branch of shrine.
I brought the lots back home.


その後、鷲ヶ岳の頂上にいきました。風力発電の風車がたくさんありました。

After that, we went to the top of Washigamine Mountain.
There were many windmills for wind electricity.

大きな風を切る音がしていました。
この風車を見ると、なんだかワクワクした気持ちになるのは
私だけでしょうか・・。

There was a big sound of windmill.
I get excited to see the windmill.
Am I the only one feeling this way?

有田川町はとっても素敵なところです。
私は大好きになりました。
みなさんも是非、一度、訪れてみてください。
温泉もあります、みかんが最高においしい町です。

Aridagawa Town was very nice place and I loved there.
Please visit there once.
It has hot springs and very delicious mandarin or
