28日釜石シープラザ 初日です

September 28, 2012:  Opening at Sea Plaza, Kamaishi


今日は釜石シープラザ、初日でした。
・・が、あいにくの雨。
でも、そんな中、60人くらいの方がいらしてくださいました。

It was the opening day at Sea Plaza in Kamaishi.
Unfortunately, it was raining … but 60 people visited us during the rain.

エスカレーターを上がり、2階にいきます。

Goes up to the 2nd floor by escalator.

2階奥が展示スペースです

The site was located at the back of the 2nd floor.



今までの掲載された新聞なども一緒に展示してあります

Articles which was appeared in newspaper etc. were also displayed.

作家さんから寄付していただいた、ポストカードの販売コーナー。
売り上げは小さな命展の運営費として使わせていただきます。

There was a small shop to sell post cards which were donated from artists.
Its sales will be donated as the operating fee for the exhibition.

参加作家の山中翔之郎さんから、差し入れのお菓子が届きました!
とっても美味しいミルフィーユ!!
みんな大喜びでした。もうこんなになくなっています。
山中さん、どうもありがとうございました!!

Mr. Shonosuke Yamanaka delivered some candy!
They were very delicious mille-feuille!
Everybody was excited!
Yamanakasan, thank you very much!!

明日は近くで復興祭があります。
そこに行って、宣伝してこようと、プラカードを作ってくださっています。

Tomorrow, the restoration event will be held in nearby.
The placards were made to announce the exhibition there.

出来ました!プラカード!
明日はきっとたくさんの方がいらしてくださることでしょう。

Making placards were finished!
I believe more people will visit here tomorrow.

・・・そして今日も終わり・・また課長さんにラーメンをご馳走になってしまいました。
今日は違うお店の釜石ラーメン。
ここも美味しかったです。
釜石に来たら、是非食べてみてください!

… The exhibition for today finished … the chief of the Health Department took me to the ramen dinner again.
It was another ramen restaurant.
It was also very delicious.
Please visit here when you come to Kamaishi.

9月27日 岩手県釜石市「シープラザ」搬入日!

September 27, 2012:  Installation at Sea Plaza in Kamaishi, Iwate

岩手県にやってきました。
この日は釜石市にある、「シープラザ」の2階会場で搬入です。
釜石、大槌の会場は、釜石市の保健所福祉環境部さんのお世話になります。
よろしく願いします。
そして、パート1でもお世話になったボランティアのみなさんにも再会!
ここでもお手伝いしてくださるのは、パート1・パート2の絵を
ご依頼された飼い主さんたちです。
そして、石巻でもお手伝いしてくださったパート2の飼い主さんの
小野さんも釜石まで泊まりでお手伝いに来てくださいました。
石巻から車で4時間かかります。
本当に本当に感謝です。

I came to Iwate Prefecture.
Today, installation was held at the hall located on the 2nd floor of Sea Plaza in Kamaishi City.
The Health Department of Kamaishi City has taken care of the exhibition.
Thank you for the kind cooperation.
I saw volunteers who helped me at the exhibition Part 1 each other again
They were the pet owners who asked us to draw paintings of their lost pets in Part 1 and 2.
Ono-san who was one of the pet owner in Part 2 and helped me in Ishinomaki visited Kamaishi and stayed over here to help me again.
It took four hours from Ishinomaki by a car.
I really, really thank for the help.


全部で28枚のパネルを組み立てました。
これが、重いのです・・。
そのパネルに展示する額を置いていきます。

We set up 28 panels.
They were very heavy…
We put flamed paintings on those panels.


額の位置を決め、ビニールひもを貼ります。

We determined the position of flames and pasted plastic band.

キャプションをつけていきます。
保健所の方もお手伝い。

We put captions.
Staffs from the Health Department also helped us.


こんな感じになりました。

The display looked like that.





夜になると、照明が暗いので、役所の方とライトを買いにいきました。
なかなか良いものがなくて・・工事用のライトですが、下から照らせば良い感じに・・。

As it had low lighting at night, I went to buy lights with a staff from the authority.
There were no good lights … they were for construction use but it looked nice when it lighted paintings from underneath.

・・・その後、保健所福祉環境部の課長さんが、お食事に連れて行ってくださいました。
釜石にはラーメンが美味しいのです!
釜石ラーメン、本当に美味しいです!
さっぱりしてて、固めの細めん、替え玉お願いしたくなります。

… After that, the chief of the Health Department took me to dinner.
Kamaishi is famous for delicious ramen!
Kamaishi ramen was very, very delicious!
It was light taste with firmer, thin noodles.  I wanted to order another portion of noodle.

Carry-out at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki


4日間、お世話になった石巻ともお別れです。
絵を外し、また一枚づつ、箱に入れます。

It’s time to say good-bye to Ishinomaki where helped me a lot for four days.
We took off each painting and individually packed in a box.

クッション材に包んで、丁寧にしまいます。

They were wrapped by cushioning material and thoroughly packed.

絵のキャプションを外していきます。

Captions of paintings were taken off.

ダンボール・・今回は1年間がんばってほしいダンボールですので、
ダンボールの補強をします。
透明テープで、回りを貼っていきます。

As those boxes should be used for one year, they were reinforced with transparent tape.


搬出をお手伝いしてくださったみなさんです。
毎日の会場スタッフも手伝ってくださいました。
パート1・パート2のお申し込みいただいた飼い主さん、
仙台から通ってお手伝いしてくださっているボランティアさん、
タカタさん、本当にありがとうございました!

Volunteers who helped me for carry-out.

Thank you so much the pet owner who asked us to draw paintings of his pet in Part 1 and Part 2, the volunteer who came here from Sendai every day, and Takata-san.

石巻ナリサワギャラリーへはまた、来年9月に来ます。
1年間、巡回し最後に絵になった子たちをお迎えに来ていただく
会場になります。
ナリサワギャラリーの杉山さん、スタッフのみなさん、
本当に本当に、ありがとうございました。
次の釜石に向かいます。

I will return to Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki next September.
It will be the site that pet owners will finally pick their pets in paintings up after the tour for one year.

Thank you so much Sugiyama-san and all staffs in Narisawa Gallery.
I will move to Kamaishi, the next site of exhibition.

石巻ナリサワギャラリー 最終日

Closing at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki


石巻最終日(9/24)でした。
天気は晴れたり、曇ったり、雨だったり・・でした。

September 24 was the closing day at Narisawa Gallery.
It was a mix of sun, clouds, and rain.

最終日ということで、遠くからも来てくださった方もいらっしゃいました。

As it was the last day, many people visited us from far away.

最後にもう一度・・とわが子に会いに来られた飼い主さんもたくさんいらっしゃいました。
会期中、毎日毎日、会いにいらっしゃいった方もたくさんいらっしゃいました。
そしてこれから各地一年間、旅をするため、
「うちの子をよろしくお願いします。たくさんの方にうちの子を見てもらってください」
「今どこを旅しているのか、それを考えるのが楽しみです。
帰ってくる日を楽しみにして待っています」
そう言われました。
私は子の子達と共に、一年間、日本を海外を周ります。
みなさんの大切な子をしっかり守りながら、責任持って周ってきますね。

Many pet owners also visited us to see their pets one last time.
Many of them visited here every day during the period.
As pets in paintings will tour to many places for one year, they told me, “Please take care of my pet.  Please show my pet to many people.” “It will be fun to think about where my pet is travelling.  I will be looking forward to come back to my house.”
I will tour to Japan and foreign countries with their pets for one year.”
I will surely take care of their beloved pets and tour with them.


タカタカヲリさんが来てくださいました。
タカタさんは、パート1でも、お手伝いに来てくださいました。
今回も一泊し、明日の搬出も手伝ってくださいます。
本当にありがとうございます。

Ms. Kaori Takata visited us.
Ms. Takata also helped me in the exhibition Part 1.
She will stay over here and help to carry out tomorrow.

石巻が終わりました・・。
パート1でもそうでしたが、いつもここでの最終日は、とても寂しくなります。
ナリサワギャラリーでの空間が私はとても好きです。
石巻も、とても好きです。そのせいでしょうか・・。

The exhibition in Ishinomaki closed…
As I also felt in Part 1, it was sad to have closing in Ishinomaki.
I love the space in Narisawa Gallery.
I also love Ishinomaki.  That’s why?

The Third Day at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki


石巻ナリサワギャラリー3日目(9/23)です。
天気は曇りときどき雨でした。

September 23 was the third day at Narisawa Gallery.
It was cloudy with occasional shower.

この日も朝からたくさん見にきてくれました。
There were also many visitors today.





堀江篤史さんが来てくださいました!
この日は午後に、堀江さんの描かれた子の飼い主さんがいらっしゃいます。
その為、堀江さんは、片道車で5時間かかる石巻まで
日帰りで来てくださったのでした。
堀江さん、ありがとうございました!

Mr. Atsushi Horie visited us!
The pet owner whom Mr. Horie drew his pet will visit us in this afternoon.
That’s why Mr. Horie took a day trip to Ishinomaki.  It was more than 5 hours by car each way.
Horie-san, thank you so much for your kindness.

石巻河北新聞に載りました!
大きく取り上げていただきました。

The exhibition was introduced in Ishinomaki Kahoku Shimbun.
It was covered widely.

明日は最終日です。
晴れるといいな・・。

Today will be closing day.

石巻「ナリサワギャラリー」2日目

The Second Day at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki


ナリサワギャラリー2日目(9/22)は、いいお天気でした。
朝、10:00からなので、9:50に着くと、まだお店は開いておらず、
待っている間、コーヒーでも飲んでいようと自販機でコーヒーを買ったら、
自販機に付いていた数字が回りだし、777とそろい、なんと、もう1本当たりました!!
朝からちょっと、うれしかったです。

September 22 was the second day at Narisawa Gallery.
When I arrived there at 9:50AM, it had not opened yet because the opening hour was at 10AM.
While I was waiting, I bought a cup of coffee from a vending machine.  The numerals shown in the display of the machine started to move and three “7” was lined up in order and I got one more coffee!
I became happy since morning.


昨日のニュースや新聞に載ったおかげで、今日は約70名の方が
いらしてくださいました。
絵になった子たちの飼い主さんもたくさんいらしてくださいました。
昨日見に来られた方が「今日も会いに来ました」と言って今日もいらっしゃいました。
絵の子に、「また、明日来るからね」と、絵の子の頭を撫でて、
「あさってまで、毎日会いにきます」そう言って帰っていかれました。

As the exhibition was introduced in TV news and newspaper yesterday, about 70 people visited us today.
Many pet owners who asked us to draw paintings visited us, too.
Persons who came yesterday visited us again and said, “I again came here to meet my pet”.
They petted the head of their pets in painting and told him / her, “see you tomorrow”.  When they left here, they told me, “I’ll visit here every day until closing”.

石巻「ナリサワギャラリー」初日!

Opening at Narisawa Gallery in Ishinomaki!


今日(9/21)は、初日。石巻は雨でした。
でも、雨の中、たくさんの人が来てくださいました。
絵のお申し込みをされた飼い主さんが、今日は多くいらっしゃいました。
みなさん、涙しながら、絵になった子と会い、絵の子の頭や鼻をなでたり・・。
「あの子に会えました。また会いにきます。」と言って帰られます。

Today, September 21 was the opening day.  It was raining in Ishinomaki.
However, many visitors came here in the rain.
Today, many pet owners who asked us to draw paintings visited us.
They met their pets in paintings in tears and they petted their head or nose…
They left with words, “I could meet my beloved pet.  I will see him / her again!

テレビの取材、新聞の取材もあり、きっと明日はもっと
たくさんの方がいらしてくださることでしょう。

I had interviews by TV and newspaper, so that more visitors are expected tomorrow.
