Opening of the Exhibition at the B2 Gallery in Eslite Book Store, Bunnan Branch
今日から、台北誠品書店敦南店の地下２階のギャラリーで、
「震災で消えた小さな命展」が始まりました。
昨日は、オープニング 記者会見の日でした。
Today, the exhibition “Precious Little Lives Lost in the Earthquake” has started at the B2 Gallery in Eslite Book Store, Bunnan Branch.
An opening ceremony and press conference were held yesterday.

会場では、ひらさんが持ってきてくださった、折り紙で鶴を折っています。

We were making paper cranes out of Origami brought by Hira-san. Cranes were printed on the Origami paper. They were made by Ms. Momomi Sako.
りっぱな会場です。だんだん記者会の時間が近づいてきます。
It was a fancy place.
もう、すでに緊張しています。
I had been already nervous.
１４：３０から記者会見が始まりました。
The press conference started at 14:30.

みなさんのお話が、本当にすばらしくて、そして本当に心がこもったお話で、
胸がいっぱいになりました。
みなさん、今回の趣旨に賛同してくださった方々ばかりです。
本当に、国などまったく関係ないのだと改めて感じました。
思いは、言葉などなくても伝わります！
After that, there were more speeches.
Their speeches were wonderful and thoughtful and I felt a lump in my throat.
All of them agreed to the purpose of this exhibition.
I once again felt that nationality doesn’t matter.
Even if language is different, we can communicate our feelings each other.
そして最後に私。
あまりに、みなさんのお話がよかったので、そのあとでしたから、
もうもう、緊張して、頭が真っ白でした。
Finally, I gave a speech.
As speeches of other guests were so wonderful, I was very nervous to give a speech after them and my mind went blank.

行ってみたら・・なんと、私の絵本コーナーと、
隣に川浦良枝さんの「しばわんこ」コーナーが作ってありました！
うれしいです！
There was a children’s book area in front of the site.
I went around and found the corners of my picture book and Ms. Yoshie Kawaura’s Shiba-wanko!
I was so much happy!
そこで！ビックニュースです！
今、レディー・ガガさんが、台湾にいるという情報を入手しました！
１７日、１８日と台北でコンサートを開催するため、来台されているそうなのです。
これは、レディー・ガガさんに、展覧会に来ていただかねば！！というお話になり、
早速、ガガさんにお渡しする資料を準備しました！
And, it was big news!
I heard that Lady Gaga is staying in Taiwan now!
She is visiting Taipei for the concert on 17th and 18th.
I was eager to her visit to the exhibition!
So, I prepared materials to give her.
・・・でも、どこで渡せるの？？？と考えているうちに、
ボランティアさんから、ガガさんの宿泊先情報を入手！！
私と浜田さんで、ガガさん宿泊ホテルに行くことになりました。
ホテルに行く前、ガガさんに渡す資料を持って、記念写真。
…but where do I give them to her???
At that time, one volunteer got the information about the hotel where Lady Gaga is staying.
Both Hamada-san and I decided to visit that hotel.
It was a commemorative photo with materials for Lady Gaga before we leave.
ここがそのホテル・・スタイリッシュです！！！
It was the hotel. It was stylish!!!
ガガさんは、この時間はコンサート中。
フロントの方に、浜田さんが事情をお話してくださいました。
ガガさんには、お会いすることはできませんでしたが、資料は必ずガガさんに
お渡しします、とのことでした。
「日本を代表してここまで来ました！よろしくおねがいします！」
とフロントのお姉さんに強く、お願いしてきました。
ガガさん、会場にきてくださるか・・！？
Lady Gaga was on a concert at that time.
Hamada-san explained the detail to a receptionist of the hotel.
We could not meet Lady Gaga, but the receptionist told us that she will surely give materials to her.
I strongly appealed that I came Taipei as a representation from Japan.
Hope Lady Gaga will be visiting…

終わりに、夜市へ！！
Many things occurred today.
At the end of the day, we sent to the night market!
