September 26:  The Ceremony to Pick up Pets in Paintings in Ofunato

25日夜に大船渡に着きました。
26日朝目覚めて、ホテルのカーテンを開けて・・広がる光景に驚きました。
私の泊まってるホテルは港の近くでした。
被災した場所にホテルだけ修復されて建っていました。

I arrived in Ofunto in the evening of 25th.
When I woke up in the morning of 26th, I opened up the curtains and I was surprised to see the outside.
I was staying at the hotel near the harbor.
The hotel was restored and it was the only building in the disaster area.

大船渡には初めて来ました。
山のある一定の高さから上のお家は無事だったようですが、
それ以外は、津波の被害にあったようでした。
どれだけ大変だったかがわかります。

その中を車で走り、お渡し会場のリアスホールに向かいました。
１２：００から、飼い主さんたちが絵になった子をお迎えにいらっしゃいます。

This was the first time to visit Ofunato.
Houses on the mountain had no damage due to the higher elevation, however, other areas were hit by tsunami.
I understood how it was terrible.

I drove through the area to go to Rias Hall, the site of ceremony.
Pet owners will pick their pets in paintings up from 12:00.

The Lesson Room 2 was the site.

大船渡、陸前高田の子たちが、飼い主さんのお迎えを待っています。

Pets in Ofunato and Rikuzentakata were waiting for their owners.

１２：００～２１：００までがお迎え時間でしたが、すべての飼い主さんたちが
お迎えにいらっしゃいました。
お迎えにいらした方はご家族代表でいらした方が多く、他のご家族の方たちは
お家で絵になった子が帰ってくるのを楽しみにして待っているそうです。

みんなお家に帰っていきました。
今日は、みんな笑顔です。それが本当に嬉しいです。

The ceremony was held from 12:00 to 21:00 and all pet owners picked them up.
Many of the family sent a representative and other family members waited at home with excitement.

All pets went home.
Everybody was smiling today.  I was very happy for it.

２１：００。外は真っ暗です。

At 21:00.  It was dark outside.

Pets in Miyagi Prefecture were waiting for me.

今日からとても寒くなりました。
暑さ寒さも彼岸まで・・本当にそうですね。

次は29日に石巻でお渡しです。
少し時間があるので、27日は絵の子達を車に乗せて、空気のいいところや
星のきれいなところに行ってみようかと思います。
運転は喜多さんですが・・。（すみません、私は免許持っていません・・）

The weather turned very cold.

The next ceremony will be held on 29th in Ishinomaki.

But Kita-san will drive … (Sorry I do not have a driver’s license …)
