Discussion Meeting and Japan-Taiwan Exchanges Dinner on May 20


２０日は、１４：３０から、台湾の作家さん２名と私（うさ）と川浦良枝さん、
４名の座談会があります。

・・その前に、午前中はシマリス絵本館の林さんが、台北観光に
連れて行ってくださいました！
そのために、ミニバスを借りてくださいました。
本当に、ありがとうございます、林さん。

The discussion meeting with two Taiwanese artists, Ms. Yoshie Kawaura, and myself was held at 14:30 on May 20.
Before that, Hayashi-san of Chipmunk’s Book Store took us a sightseeing of Taipei in the morning.  He rented a minibus for it.  Thank you very much, Hayashi-san.


まずは、龍山寺（道教のお寺）に行きました。

We visited Longshan Temple, the Taoism temple at first.

学問の神様、縁結びの神様、健康の神様・・・など、７人の神様のところに、
とっても長いお線香を１本づつ、置いていきます。
そして最後の神様の時、ハプニングが。
川浦さんがどこかの神様のところにお線香を２本、置いてきてしまったため、
一番最後の《仕事の神様》のところのお線香が足りなくなってしまいました。
でも、みなさんから「もう、仕事は大丈夫だということですよ～」と
言われていました。
私も、うんうん、とうなづいていたら、みんなから
「あなたはしっかりとお願いしなさい！」と言われました。
本当にそうです。神様、お仕事ください。

We put a long incense stick in front of 7 gods such as a god of academic achievement, a god of marriage, a god of health.
When we put an incense stick for the last god, it happened.
Kawaura-san put two incense sticks somewhere, so she had no incense for the last god which was “a god of business”.
We told her that it was because you had already succeeded in business.
When I nodded in agreement, everyone told me, “You have to ask for the success!”
It is true.  Oh god, please give me the business opportunity.


その後は、故宮博物館に行きました。
時間がなかったので、数箇所だけ見てきました。
ちゃんと見るには、８０年かかると言われているそうです。
すごいですね・・。
有名な、玉の白菜は、思ったよりとても小さくて驚きました。

Then, we went to the National Palace Museum.  As we did not have enough time, we saw several areas only.  It takes 80 years to thoroughly see.  It is amazing.
It was surprising that the famous Jadeite Cabbage was smaller than one expected.


最後にみんなで記念撮影です。

Finally, we took a commemorative photo.

そして、１４：３０　座談会が始まりました。

The discussion meeting started at 14:30.

進行係の方に質問され、それに答えていきます。
私は、趣旨やチラシの絵「同じ星空を見た夜」について聞かれました。

A facilitator asked questions and we answered to those questions.
I was asked about the purpose of exhibition and the painting of flyer, “A night when we looked up at the same starry sky”.

川浦さんは、この企画に参加した動機、描かれた絵について
質問されました。

Kawaura-san was asked about the reason to participate in this exhibition and her painting drawn in this time.

今回、描いた絵のことを聞かれました。
はじめにお答えしたのは、浜田桂子さん。
浜田さんは、「あーちゃん」の絵について、
描かれたお気持ちなどを心を込めて語られました。

We were asked about paintings drawn in this time.
First, Ms. Keiko Hamada answered.
Hamada-san wholeheartedly explained her thought when she drew the painting of “A-chan”.

つづいて、ひらてるこさんのお話でした。
ひらさんは「まめ芝の子犬ちゃん」のことを真剣な眼差しで語られました。

Next, Ms. Teruko Hira told about “Puppy of miniature Shiba Inu” with earnest eyes.

タカタカヲリさんは、「ターボくんとピーコちゃん」の絵について語られました。
「動物たちは、どんなことがあっても、絶対に飼い主さんをうらんだり
しないと思うのです。ありがとうという気持ちしかありません」
その言葉が、とても心に届きました。

Ms. Kaori Takata told about the painting of “Turbo-kun and Piiko-chan”.
She said, “I believe pets never hold a grudge against their owners.  The only have thankfulness.”
It was heartfelt very much.

川浦良枝さんは、「マルちゃん」の絵のお話をされました。
ご自身の思いを、やさしい口調で、とても思いを込めて語られました。

Ms. Yoshie Kawaura told about the painting of “Maru-chan”.
She wholeheartedly expressed her thought in a very gentle tone.

曹俊彦さんは、命の平等の絵について語られました。
昔飼っていた猫と、小さなころの娘さんの姿を、絵にされました。

Mr. Tsao Chun-yen told about the equality of life.
He drew a painting of a cat whom he owned in the past and his daughter when she was little.

劉旭恭さんも、命の平等の絵について語られました。
とっても、やさしい口調で、思いを語られました。

Mr. Liu Xugong also told about the equality of life.
He expressed his thought in a very, very gentle tone.

そして、最後に私でした。
私は、ふくだいわおさんが描かれた、「くうちゃん」のことをお話しました。
くうちゃんは、避難所まで逃げられ、助かるはずの命でしたが、
最後に出会った人間の判断により、亡くなってしまった子です。
私は、どうしても、この話を、台湾の多くの方に聞いてほしいと思いました。

And I was a last speaker.
I told about the painting of “Ku-chan” drawn by Mr. Iwao Fukuda.
Ku-chan evacuated to the evacuation center and was supposed to be saved, however, she passed away due to the decision of the last person to meet Ku-chan alive.
I really wanted to deliver this story to people in Taiwan.

作家さんのお話を聞いている、台湾のみなさんです。
全員、真剣に聞いててくださいました。
涙ぐみながら、話を聞く人の姿もたくさんあったと、聞きました。

There was the Taiwanese audience.
All of them seriously listened.
I heard that many of them listened in tears.

次に、会場のみなさんからの質問コーナーです。

Next, it was a question and answer session with audience.

最後は作家さんたちで、記念撮影！

Lastly, we took a commemorative photo with artists.

１８：００過ぎに、無事座談会終了しました。
その後は、日本・台湾親睦歓迎お食事会です。

The discussion meeting successfully closed after 18:00.
Then, we had the Japan-Taiwan exchanges dinner.

ひらさんは、「てぃんさぐぬ花」を歌ってくださいました。

Hira-san sang “Tinsagu nu hana (rose balsam flowers)”.

日本の作家さんたち。

Japanese artists.

台湾の作家さんと関係者の方たち。

Taiwanese artists and persons involved.

日本と台湾は、驚くことに正式な国交はないそうです。。
しかし、人と人ではこんなにも親睦を深めることができるのです。
台湾の人たちは、国交なくとも、震災のたくさんの支援をしてくださいました。
人と人が思いでつながる・・もっとも重要なことができていると思いました。
温かい台湾の人たちに、本当に本当に感謝です。
これからも、ずっと助け合い、生きていきたいと思います。
そして、いつか、台湾の人たちが助けを求めるようなことがあったら、
私は、真っ先に飛んでいけるようにしたいと思います。

It was surprising that there are no official relations between Japan and Taiwan.
However, we are able to deepen the interpersonal exchanges.
People in Taiwan helped victims of the earthquake a lot even if both countries do not have the official relations.
A person connects with a person by thought … I felt we could do the most important thing.
Thank you so much for kindhearted Taiwanese people.
I hope we will help each other throughout the life.
If Taiwanese people will ask for help in the future, I will come running to help them as a matter of first priority.
